FAQs

Some important information about our plans you should know.
  1. What is Managed Ethernet?
Managed Ethernet is a type of point-to-point connectivity best suited for businesses looking to connect multiple locations spread across a wide area.

    It comes with:
    • 2 Mbps – 100 Gbps/ Speed Range
    • A router, managed by us
    • Your router traffic monitored and managed by us
    • Gold Class of Service (prioritizing video and critical business data)
    • Standard and Premium Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Management and monitoring by our Customer Network Operations Centre (CNOC)
    • Access to our Managed Service Portal
  2. What are the advantages of Managed Ethernet over other legacy technologies?

In today’s world, business internet requirements have grown and changed. Most 21st century companies are now looking for more centralized control that can extend over multiple business locations, and legacy technologies like ATM or Leased Lines can’t do this. The point-to-point connectivity that Managed Ethernet offers is now becoming the industry standard because of its simplicity, flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

  3. What are the key features of this service?
Apart from being the current industry standard, the advantages of Managed Ethernet include:
    • Speeds ranging from 2 Mbps all the way up to 10 Gbps.
    • A Managed Service Portal that allows both you and us to check service parameters regularly.
    • A managed router
    • 24/7 customer and technical support
    • Dedicated networks
    • Premium and Standard SLAs and SLA Management
    • A system that allows you to closely monitor your service alongside us.
  4. What speeds are available with this service?
The different plans available offer different speeds:

        Speeds
    2 Mbps 4 Mbps 8 Mbps 10 Mbps 12 Mbps
    16 Mbps 20 Mbps 30 Mbps 40 Mbps 50 Mbps
    60 Mbps 70 Mbps 80 Mbps 90 Mbps 100 Mbps
    200 Mbps 300 Mbps 400 Mbps 500 Mbps 600 Mbps
    750 Mbps 800 Mbps 1 Gbps 2 Gbps 4 Gbps
    10 Gbps 20 Gbps 30 Gbps 40 Gbps 50 Gbps
    60 Gbps 80 Gbps 100 Gbps
These plans all come with set up and monthly fees, a managed router, a Standard SLA, monthly SLA reports and around-the-clock monitoring and management by our Customer Network Operations Centre.

You can also add a Premium SLA(for an extra charge).
  5. What is a Service Level Agreement?

The Service Level Agreement (SLA) is essentially your service contract defined. It’s our guarantee to you of a specific set of parameters and promises like the scope of the service, quality assurance and timelines and responsibilities that we set and agree upon together.

Note: We call these parameters Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and these not only help us to keep your services on track, but also allow you to hold us accountable to our promises.

  6. What are these KPIs?
    • Service Fulfillment: our promise to deliver your service in X days.
    • Service Availability: making sure your service is yielding effective results.
    • Service Restoration: addressing and fixing any damaged service within X days according to the level of Severity.
    • Service Performance: making sure the quality of the connection (measured by Latency, Packet Loss and Jitter) meets the agreed upon level.
  7. Will you provide any hardware support/maintenance for the router?

Yes we will, but only as long as your Managed Ethernet service is active. If you stop this service, you’ll have to take care of the router on your own.

  8. What will happen to my Managed Ethernet service at the end of my contract period?

You’ll be notified 45, 30, 15, and 1 day(s) prior to the end of your contract period by SMS and email, informing you with the contract expiry.
Unless you choose to cancel it with a written notice, sent 30 days prior to the expiry of your contract
