du, the new telecommunications operator in the UAE, has launched its' first business directory in the UAE - the du Smart Yellow Pages - providing an exhaustive list of businesses covering various industries across all seven emirates in the UAE in one single volume as well as on a CD-ROM. The directory and the complimentary CD-ROM developed in English are a joint initiative of du and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), and are currently being distributed throughout the UAE free of charge. Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer of du, said: "The introduction of an integrated directory underscores du's philosophy of providing comfort and convenience to customers, enabling them to obtain contact information of any company in the UAE from a single volume. The directory also reflects our core objectives of integration and convergence of telecom services." The UAE-wide du Smart Yellow Pages lists Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) companies in a user-friendly style, distinctly classifying the lists by business types in alphabetical order, along with a short description on the location of most of the listed companies.  It will be distributed through du's retail shops and delivered as well to businesses and households throughout the UAE. Mr. Abdulla Sultan Abdulla, Secretary General of Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry said: "In tandem with du, FCCI has simplified the task of sourcing contact information of diverse businesses.  This will go a long way in fulfilling our goal of creating a congenial atmosphere for businesses to operate and prosper within the UAE."
