What is my credit limit?Once you subscribe to any of our Postpaid Mobile and/or Fixed services, a credit limit will apply to your account.
A credit limit allows you to control the monthly spend for your Postpaid Mobile and/or Fixed services.
The credit limit is the total amount you’re allowed to spend. It will cover all your billed and unbilled usage (unbilled will include all out-of-bundle usage charges, third-party subscriptions and any other applicable charges for the Postpaid and Fixed lines under your account).
You are responsible for the payment of all charges on your account.
In case your total accumulated balance (billed plus unbilled) reaches 100% of the credit limit, your services will be interrupted even if you have not crossed the bill due date.
In case there’s a delay in paying your bill, your services will be interrupted even if you haven’t reached 100% of your credit limit. -
How is the credit limit set when I get a new line?When you get a new line, a default credit limit is set at AED 675.
Within 2 days, our system will automatically update your credit limit based on our checks. You will be notified via SMS, and upon receiving consent from you, the new limit will be applied to your account. You can also log on to My Account or visit the du app to update your credit limit.
Your credit limit will be reviewed periodically. -
How can I check my credit limit?You can check your credit limit from the du app and My Account. Just visit your profile settings and select ‘Manage credit limit’ (in ‘MyAccount’ go to the payments tab under Settings).

How will I know if I’m approaching my credit limit?Don’t worry, you’ll be notified via SMS once the accumulated charges on your account reach 80%, 95% and 100% of the assigned credit limit, so you can stay on top of your spending.
Upon exceeding 100% of your credit limit, your outgoing services may be interrupted.
As the total charges on your account approach 100% of your credit limit, you can avoid service disruption by making a payment on your account to ensure that your charges remain below your credit limit.

How can I increase my credit limit?
- If you are eligible to do so, you can increase your credit limit without having to pay a deposit.
- Please send a copy of your salary certificate to customer.care@du.ae along with your full name, account number or du phone number, and we will change your credit limit for you if you're eligible.
- Kindly make sure the salary certificate is not older than 3 months with company stamp and UAE contact details.
- Alternatively, you can send your latest Credit Card statement to customer.care@du.ae showing your credit card type along with your full name, account number or du phone number, and we will change your credit limit if you're eligible.
- You can also place your credit limit change request at the nearest du store. Simply present your salary certificate or a copy of your Credit card statement.
- If you are not eligible, you can still increase your credit limit by paying a refundable deposit and the limit will be increased up to the value of deposit paid.
- In case you haven’t provided your consent to apply for a revised credit limit or you had reduced your credit limit previously, you can increase it yourself from the du app or My Account up to the approved limit.

Can I decrease my credit limit?You can decrease your limit from the du app and My Account.du app:
- Go to your profile settings at the top right corner of the page.
- Select ‘Manage credit limit’ and then select the desired limit using the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons
- Click on ‘Update’ to set the limit.
- Go to the ‘Settings’ tab at the bottom of the page
- Select ‘Billing & payments’ and then select ‘Credit limit’
- Use the ‘slider bar’ to select the desired limit and click on ‘Update’ to set the limit
My Account:- Go to the ‘Payments’ tab under ‘Settings’
- You can also request to decrease your credit limit by contacting our call center or visiting our retail store or via Chat option on our app.
- Please note that the new credit limit requested should be more than your monthly subscription charges to avoid service interruption upon bill generation.
- Also, if the new credit limit is below the total accumulated charges, your services will be interrupted once the requested limit is applied.
