  1. What is the People of Determination discount?
     If you are a people of determination customer, and have the documents to prove it, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your monthly fee on Power Plans including Unlimited National Data plans, Non-stop Data Power Plans, Emirati Plan, and Smart Plan (24 months contract not applicable).
  2. Who is eligible for People of Determination offer?

     If you’re a new or an existing Postpaid customer, who has any of the following valid cards, then you can avail this discount:

     1. Government issued People of Determination ID card.
     2. My Services card issued by Zayed Higher Organization, plus Emirates ID.
     3. Sanad E-Card issued by the Community Development Authority (Dubai Government).
     4. Masarra card issued by the Ministry of Community Development for People.
  3. How do I get the People of Determination discount?
     As a new or an existing customer, please visit your nearest du store and show one of the above cards in addition to the required documents for a Postpaid line.
  4. Can I get People of Determination discount with my Postpaid plan?
     The You Matter 50% discount only applies to Powers Plans with or without 12 months contract, including Non-stop Data Power Plans and Unlimited National Data Plans.
  5. What happens to People of Determination Discount when I terminate the line?
     If you have a rate plan with People of Determination Discount and then terminate it, the discount is automatically deactivated from that date.
  6. Can I transfer the People of Determination discount from one line to another?
     Yes. You can transfer the People of Determination from your current line to another line under an eligible rate plan. The charges will be made on a pro-rata basis.

  2. How can I activate the free Internet Calling Pack if I also have People of Determination?
     The free Internet Calling Pack is manually activated for all customers under You Matter categories ( People of Determination).

     • If you have People of Determination discount with Prepaid or Postpaid, you won’t receive an SMS when activating this pack.
     • Activation of the Internet Calling Pack takes 48 hours once the activation request is triggered in the system.
  3. Will my bill include People of Determination tag?
     Yes. Your bill will include the full monthly charge of your subscribed rate plan. However, People of Determination discount will be shown on the bill with a 50% discount.
  4. What happens if I have additional usage above the monthly fee included in the discount?
     You have to pay any additional usage, as the 50% People of Determination only applies to the rate plan monthly fee.
  5. How will I know when the People of Determinaton discount is added to my line?
     Once the validation is successful and the discount is added to your line, the following SMS will be sent to you: “The < People of Determination Discount > has been assigned to your < MSISDN > under account < Account Number > on < Date >. The discount will be processed after the card validation is successful.”
  6. If I have the People of Determination discount, what happens with the usage of data when I use the Internet Calling Pack?
     The usage of data is deducted from the Internet Calling Pack if you use the BOTIM or C'ME apps.
