  1. What is du’s #Tag service?
     #Tag is a new service where customers can link a short and catchy code to their existing mobile numbers, so they can call each other on their #Tag instead of their usual mobile number. Customers subscribing to this service will be assigned a unique #Tag linked to their du mobile number.
     #Tag is a unique personalized code (for example #20 or #555).
     Customers can now buy multiple #Tags for each of their mobile numbers and can be contacted by any customer within the UAE.
  2. Which plans are eligible for the Hashtag service?

     Only Postpaid customers can activate the #Tag service

  3. What are #Tag charges?
     #Tags sold via online Auction (www.onlineauction.ae) will be based on the final bidding price and you will have 12 months’ free MRC. After the 12-month free period, you will be charged AED 375/month on top of your plans’ monthly fee.
  4. Will I receive an ownership certificate when purchasing a #Tag?

     You will be eligible to use the #Tag, however, there will be no ownership certificate.

     2. The selected #Tag will be linked to your existing mobile number
     3. du customers within the UAE can call you on your #Tag or your original number
     4. Customers within the UAE can call each other with a #Tag
     5. #Tag is not a new mobile number but a code linked to your actual mobile number
     6. Customers can’t send a text message to the #Tag number
     7. Calls from international operators and roaming customers can’t be done to the #Tag
  2. What happens to your #Tag if you stop paying your Postpaid bills?

     Both the plan and the #Tag will be suspended.

  3. How long would it take for the #Tag to activate?

     du customers will have their #Tag activated within 2 business days while other networks would require 5 business days.
