Fair Usage Policy | du™
To ensure that each customer gets a fair share of internet band width, du follows international best practice, prioritising time - sensitive things:
Very heavy users (e.g. downloading more than 300 Gigabyte per month) may receive a reduced speed during peak hours (6 pm midnight on weekdays) to ensure that the service received by other customers is not impacted through extremely heavy usage by a minority of people.
Non-time sensitive internet services such as peer-to-peer file sharing (e.g. torrents) receive a lower speed during peak hours to ensure that customers using time-sensitive services such as video - streaming or gaming are not impacted.
This only applies to fixed broadband services, not to du TV or telephone.
