Dubai, UAE: du is participating in Careers UAE for the seventh consecutive year, and invites UAE nationals to come and explore the 60 career opportunities in offer at its stand (B8-3). With the intention of becoming the employer of choice for Emiratis, du offers engaging careers for its employees with an emphasis on self-development and progression.

du’s stand drew the attention of many job-seeking Emiratis on the first day. Job-seekers were encouraged to submit their resumes into du’s online database, designed exclusively for UAE nationals looking to begin a career with the telecom.

This year, the company will recruit 30 Emiratis for its customer service centre in Fujairah, and will offer another 30 career opportunities in the various business areas for qualified UAE Nationals.

“We are proud to announce that this is our seventh year of participation at Careers UAE, which reflects the dedication to employing Emiratis that we have shown since inception,” said Yaser Obaid, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, du. “As an Emirati company we are proud to support the UAE leadership’s vision for Emiratisation. We encourage UAE nationals to explore the possibilities for worthwhile careers within du, where they will not only be a part of the Middle East’s fastest-growing telecommunications company, but where they will have the opportunity to contribute to their community through our sustainability efforts.”

At Careers UAE 2013, du will give Emiratis the opportunity to explore several career development possibilities, as it engages private and government colleges and universities to give Emiratis a strong start to their careers. Emirati students can participate in the annual Summer Training Programme, that gives them the chance to work for two months in select departments, or they can join du’s Work Skills Programme and du’s work experience and internship programmes.

du is continuing its Guest Speaker Sessions in 2013 to give students the chance to benefit from the telecom’s varied expertise under the lead of the UAE National Development team, which works with colleges and universities to offer students the chance to develop their technical and personal skills.
