‘Bokra’, the biggest musical sensation of the year in the Middle East, has proved a massive success across the Arab World with more than 2.2 million YouTube hits since 11.11.11. du supported the recent launch of the mega-musical, collaborative charity effort, and has now made ‘Bokra’ content available exclusively to its mobile customers.
Fans of the song, which pulled together Arab and international superstars under the guidance of Grammy-winning producer and musician Quincy Jones and Emirati entrepreneur, Badr Jafar, can now download the music video and full music track from MyWorld from 24 November. Additionally, there are five versions of the track that can be chosen from as caller tunes, which can be accessed by calling 156 and pressing ‘1’ for Caller Tunes, then selecting ‘Specials’.

Lyrics for ‘Bokra’ were written by Majida El Roumi based on Quincy Jones’ Grammy-winning single ‘Tomorrow (A Better You, A Better Me)’, with musical adaptation by Kadim Al Sahir. Vocals for the single are performed by leading artists from across the Middle East and North Africa, with all proceeds raised from the charity project used to finance educational programs in Music, Arts and Culture for children across the region. These programs will be held in association with a series of organizations, including the United Nations WFP and The Arab Fun for Arts and Culture.
