Dubai: 26 July 2007 - Continuing with its trend of introducing innovative services to the market for the first time, du, the new telecom operator in the UAE today announced the launch of Call Select. The initiative is a smart and economical way to use existing (non-du) landline phones to make national and international calls. The calls dialled with a prefix will get routed through the ‘du' network offering immediate savings without changing the existing landline number or phone. Starting 26 July 2007, customers subscribing to Call Select will be able to avail the service by just dialling the prefix 08888 before making a call. The service is available in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, and will be quickly rolled out nationwide. du will continuously offer new capabilities as part of its roadmap to roll out fixed services. National calls: Dial 08888 and the area code or mobile prefix, followed by the number you wish to reach, e.g. to call Abu Dhabi: 08888 02 123 4567; to call a mobile: 08888 055 012 3456.
