Dubai, 29 September 2008: Celebrating Eid Al Fitr with its customers, du the integrated telecom operator in the UAE has announced a special offer during Eid AL Fitr to spread the message of joy and help people to stay connected with loved ones. du mobile service customers can enjoy all day off-peak rates for international calls, 15 fils for national sms (instead of original cost of 18 fils per national SMS) and 45 fils for international sms (instead of original cost of 60 fils per international SMS) on all days of Eid Al Fitr.

 

du also announced the names of the winners of the third week of the du SMS Ramadan Challenge. For the week ending 20th September the top scorer won free du talk-time worth AED 5,500 while 55 other winners each received free talk-time worth AED 550.

 

Sana Abdul Aziz, one of the winners of this week’s quiz, said: “This is a dream come true for me. It really increased my knowledge and challenged it as well. I appreciate this gesture by du."

The popular recently launched du SMS Ramadan Challenge received more than 2.3 million SMS hits during the twenty-seven days of Ramadan.

 

The competition which is designed to test du customers’ knowledge of Ramadan, the Arabic language and UAE culture has weekly and grand prizes to be won, in addition to free credits for every correct answer. For every ten questions played, du customers receive a bonus of 10 fils. Last week, the grand prize of a luxury vacation worth AED 50,000 for two was announced. The grand prize will be given to the person who is the first to answer maximum number of questions correctly in the shortest response time. The winner will also get a certificate of appreciation from du. The name of the winner will be announced by Oct 12, 2008.
