Dubai, UAE: As an Official Sponsor of the 16th Dubai International Holy Qur’an Award (DIHQA), du will broadcast the competition free of charge to its du TV customers for the third consecutive year.
The DIHQA, sponsored by the Dubai government, is an annual award given for the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an, and includes a multitude of other ceremonies and activities aimed at confirming and celebrating Islamic values.
du TV customers can watch the Dubai International Holy Quran Award channel for free on du’s dedicated channel 709. Coverage will be provided live, 24/7, starting from the first day of Ramadan and continuing for 20 days. The live broadcast will be provided through du’s Jebel Ali teleport in Dubai, and beamed courtesy Intelsat through their satellites Intelsat 10, Intelsat New Dawn and through du’s capacity on Nilesat.
