How it works:

  • Mobile subscribers: Activate the Internet Calling Pack by sending an SMS with ‘Netcall’ to 1355.
  • Home Subscribers: Activate the Internet Calling Pack by calling 04 390 5555. Alternatively this service can be activated by visiting the du shop.
  • Download any one of the registered apps from the iOS App Store and Android Play Store.
  • You can then get unlimited access to making calls or texting anyone who downloads the app, across the globe. In order to use the app, you will need an internet connection i.e. Mobile data or WiFi connection.
  • You will be able to use this app on WiFi if you subscribe for the Internet Calling Pack on your home. All devices connected to the home WiFi will have unlimited access to the app.
  • You will be able to use the app on your mobile using mobile data and an active subscription to the Internet Calling Pack.

  • 1) What is du Internet Calling Pack?

    ‘du Internet Calling Pack’ allows prepaid, postpaid and home service customers to make unlimited voice and video calls using a group of calling applications available for download on iOS and Android play store.

  • 2) What is the du Internet Calling Pack special offer?

    With this offer, all Mobile Consumer customers only can enjoy free access to the du Internet Calling Pack service for 15 days without being charged.

  • 3) How do I avail of the special offer?

    SMS ICP to 1012 to activate the offer. After receiving your confirmation message, simply download any one of the supported apps, such as C’me or BOTIM, from iOS or Play Store and register with your mobile number.

    Start using the apps to get unlimited access to app-to-app voice and video calls.

    Once subscribed, you can enjoy this service for 15 days without charge. You’ll receive an SMS notification 3 days before the offer expires, following which you can choose between two options:
    a.    Continue to use the service for AED 50 (+ 5% VAT)
    b.    Deactivate the service by texting “Stop Netcall” to 1355

  • 4) What is the validity of the offer and how much is the access fee?

    For prepaid:
    The first 15 days are free, following which you will be charged AED 50 (+ 5% VAT).

    For postpaid:
    The first 15 days are free, following which you will be charged AED 50 (+ 5% VAT) – pro-rated in your monthly bill.*

    *Going forward, Internet Calling Pack charges will be pro-rated for all postpaid customers.

  • 5) How many times can I subscribe to this offer?

    You can subscribe to this offer once for every MSISDN.

  • 6) How does the Internet Calling Pack work?

    Internet Calling Pack is available for Mobile and Fixed line subscribers.

    Mobile Subscribers: Allows customers to make unlimited app to app calls, across the world, on the move using mobile data.

    Home Subscribers: Allows customers to make unlimited app to app calls, across the world, from home using Wi-Fi connection.

    The application will be available for download on iOS and play store (android). This application will be available for download across the globe.

    Within UAE – Any mobile or fixed customer of du will be able to get access to make client to client voice and video calls with anyone across the world having the same application. This can be done by subscribing to the internet calling pack.

    Outside UAE – Subscribers can download the application and get access to all existing functionalities of the app such as client to client text, voice and video calling without any fee. All they need is an internet connection.

    Within UAE Outside UAE
    du subscribers (Prepaid, Postpaid and Home line) will be

    able to make unlimited app to app Voice and Video calls

    across the world upon subscribing to the internet

    calling pack and downloading one of the supported

    apps from iOS and play store.
    Outside UAE subscribers will be able to download the application and use all existing features like video and voice calls, messaging as long as they have a working internet connection.
    du subscribers can call any of their contacts who have

    the same app.
    Subscribers will be able to call any du subscriber in the UAE provided the UAE du subscriber has an active subsection to the internet calling pack.
    The basic chat option will be available upon registration

    with a valid UAE number. Unlimited access to video and

    voice calls will be available upon subscribing to the

    Internet Calling Pack.

    Customers will be able to use the application while on roaming under the following circumstances

      1. Roaming with home operator.

      2. Using a Wi-Fi connection with Internet calling  pack active.

     3. Using a mobile connection (Using Mobile hotspot) with Internet calling pack active.

    App to phone calls will not be available using the

    application.
     
    Application will not work on Public Wi-Fi and Enterprise

    Home Lines.
     
     

  • 7) Who is eligible for this service?

    Eligible Customers for this service:

       a. All Mobile Prepaid customers – Consumer and Enterprise*.

       b. All Mobile Postpaid customers – Consumer and Enterprise*.

       c. All Consumer Home customers
     
    *Refer to FAQ 7 for details on Enterprise Customer activation.

  • 8) How can subscribers activate the service?

    Any mobile or fixed customer of du can get access to one of the supported applications for making unlimited app to app video and voice calls to anywhere in the world by subscribing to the Internet Calling pack.

          1. Prepaid customers can subscribe to the pack by either dialing *135*35# or by sending an SMS with ‘NETCALL’ to 1355.

           2. Postpaid customers can subscribe to the pack by sending an SMS as ‘NETCALL’ to 1355.

           3. Home customers can get the service by calling 04 390 5555 or by visiting the du shop.

    Once subscribed, the pack will be automatically renewed every month and customers can keep enjoying the application until they decide to opt out.

          1. Prepaid customers can unsubscribe to the pack by either dialing *135*35# or by sending an SMS with ‘STOP NETCALL’ to 1355.

           2. Postpaid customers can unsubscribe to the pack by sending an SMS with ‘STOP NETCALL’ to 1355.

           3. Home customers can opt out from the service by calling the Call Center or visiting the du shop.

  • 9) Once customers subscribe to the ‘internet calling pack’ will they need data to access the application?

    Customers will need full data/blackberry data allowance to use the app. The application will not work on social bundles.

  • 10) What will be the validity of the pack and how much is the access Fee?

    Prepaid: The pack will be valid for 30 days and can be purchased from More Time balance only. The access will be AED 50 (+ 5% VAT) per month.

    Postpaid:
    1. Charges will be billed monthly and service shall be automatically renewed. This service will remain active till you opt out. Access fee will be AED 50 (+ 5% VAT) per bill cycle.

    2. Full amount will be charged per bill cycle irrespective of whether customers join in the middle of the bill cycle.

    3. For postpaid multi-SIM customers, if ‘du Internet Calling Pack’ is active on one line, all the SIMs in the corresponding MSISDN multi-sim pool will have access to the app. Customer pays only for one line.

    Home:
    1. Charges will be billed monthly and service shall be automatically renewed and will remain active for the home account unless customer opts out. Access fee will be AED 100 (+ 5% VAT) per bill cycle.

    2. Any device connected through that home broadband shall have unrestricted access to the app.

    3. Full amount will be charged per bill cycle irrespective of whether customers join in the middle of the bill cycle.

  • 11) Will Enterprise customers be allowed to subscribe to this service and have unrestricted access to the app?

    Company-administered Enterprise Postpaid Lines can activate the service by requesting for the service activation via their company administrator
    Self-administered Enterprise Postpaid Lines (customers who are settling own invoices) can activate the service directly via SMS.  In case of issue dial 188 for assistance
    All Enterprise prepaid customers can subscribe to service directly over USSD or SMS.

  • 12) Can subscribers opt in for the Mobile Internet Calling pack and Fixed Internet Calling pack at the same time?

    Yes, subscribers can opt for both types of the Internet Calling pack at the same time – however they will be charged for both packs separately.

  • 13) Can subscribers use their Internet Calling pack while roaming?

    Yes, subscribers can use their mobile Internet Calling pack while roaming on du mobile data. However, data will be charged at standard roaming rates or from data roaming package if available.

  • 14) Approximate data usage required to use the application.

    Actual usage may vary depending on the customer handset model and number of background applications running on the handset.
