The Visitor Mobile Line (VML) is a prepaid mobile line specially designed for tourists or business travellers visiting the UAE. It gives all the benefits of a mobile line and more, allowing you to stay in touch with your friends and relatives in the UAE or abroad.

The Visitor Mobile Line costs only AED 35 (equivalent of $ 9.54) and is loaded with free benefits*, so you can use it from the get-go!

4. How much do I pay for the Visitor Mobile Line?

The SIM card costs 35 AED. This is a one-off fee and there are no additional or hidden charges.

6. How much do I pay for my calls, SMS and other services?

Remember that you can use your free initial benefits like national/international minutes, SMS and data up to 7 days from the time of line activation. Once these benefits are expired or consumed you will need to recharge your line and our standard rates will apply:

7. How can I get more data on my phone with Visitor Mobile Line?

You can get more data on your phone by choosing from our data bundles that suit every consumption need:

a. Daily Data Bundle: Get 25MB of data for only AED 5, valid for 24 hours. Enjoy the internet, check you emails and posts, tweet and chat! To activate the Daily Data Bundle dial *135*244#. AED 5 will be deducted from your "More Time" balance.

b. The Unlimited Social data pack: The Unlimited Social Data Pack gives you unlimited use of the most popular social networking apps on your smartphone and data devices, including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and LinkedIn for 2 AED/day! SMS social to 1355 or dial *135*55#

c. Monthly Data packages: Enjoy the monthly data package of your choice either as a one time or a recurring package by activating it easily on your Visitor Mobile Line. For information click here.

d. BlackBerry packages: There are national and international packages for Blackberry. You can find more information for these packages here.

8. How long is the Visitor Mobile Line valid?

The SIM is valid for 30 days and will expire after this period unless you extend the validity of your line.

9. Can I use the Visitor Mobile Line after the expiry date?

Yes, you can keep using your Visitor Mobile Line beyond the 30 days. There are 2 ways you can extend your SIM validity:

  • Renew your line:

Visit one of our shops or call Selfcare at 135 using your mobile to renew. Make sure you have credit to pay for the renewal fee.

The renewal fee for Visitor Mobile Line is AED 20. Once the Visitor Mobile Line is renewed it will be active for a further 30 days. The 30 days will start after the last day of expiry.

  • Migrate to Pay as You Go:

It’s simple. If you want to migrate to a local pre-paid package just call 135 from your mobile. If you want to migrate to a local postpaid package just visit any of our shops. Remember to bring your passport (including your resident’s visa page) and a current salary certificate from your employer showing a monthly income of AED 2,500 or more.

The migration fee to the Monthly Plan is free, however to migrate to Pay As You Go you’ll need to pay a fee of AED 100.

10. How and where can I recharge my Visitor Mobile Line?

When you run out from your free benefits, you can top-up your credit by:
