1- Daily Data Bundle

Get 25MB of data for your Pay As You Go® line for only AED 5, valid for 24 hours. Enjoy the internet, check you emails and post, tweet and chat!

  • Monthly Data Packages are only designed for national data use while in the UAE. Excess usage within the UAE beyond your package will be charged at 1 fils per KB.

1. Which rate plans can subscribe to these bundles?
All Elite plan, Pay As You Go® and Visitor Mobile Line customers can subscribe to the Data Bundles.

2. Are these bundles available for national and international Data use?
These Data Bundles are only for national usage.

3. How can I check/track my Data usage?
To check your Data usage you have the below options:
• SMS ‘balance’ to 1355
• Log on to www.du.ae/selfcare

You’ll also receive 3 SMS notifications at:
• 75% of your Data usage
• 85% of your Data usage
• 100% of your Data usage

4. I’m already subscribed to an iPhone/Samsung/Nokia package for a 12 months contract. Can I subscribe to these bundles? If yes, what will happen to my existing Data bundle?
Yes, if you’re an existing smartphone customer you can subscribe to these bundles. The Data Bundles will be in addition to your already subscribed contract Data bundle.

5. I’m an existing BlackBerry® customer. Can I subscribe to these Data Bundles? If yes, how can I use them?
You can subscribe to these Data Bundles. Please note that you will not be able to expand your BlackBerry service allowance with this bundle and that your BlackBerry service will be still consumed from the BlackBerry service you have subscribed to. However, you will be able to use this Data bundle for browsing the internet if you don’t have any Data left from your BlackBerry bundle.

6. I’ve been falling short of Data units quite frequently. How can I know which Data bundle suits my need?

7. What happens if I want to migrate from my plan or my Data Bundle?

8. If I upgrade my Data bundle before I finish all my units, how much Data will I get for the rest of my bill cycle?
If you upgrade to another Data bundle you’ll lose the remaining units, but you’ll enjoy the full units of your new bundle.

9. Why am I not allowed to change Data Bundles/rate plans more than once?

We’re in the process of streamlining our Data Bundles and rate plans to serve you better. With this revision, you won’t have to worry about being overcharged for your Data usage.

10. Since there are no extra charges for downgrading Data Bundles, why am I not allowed to do this frequently?
This is because you might have used all the Data units of your bundle at the time of downgrade and we wouldn’t like to charge you on a pay per use basis which might result in a high bill for that month.

1. Data Bundles
1.1. These terms apply to national mobile data bundles available from du (Data Bundles). These terms are in addition to the terms that apply to your mobile plan.
1.2. Data Bundles only apply to use within the United Arab Emirates. Please contact du Customer Care to enquire about our roaming data bundles which may be available when you travel overseas.
1.3. Data Bundles are available in monthly packages of different bandwidths.
1.4. Customers under the following rate plans will be eligible to apply for a Data Bundle(s):
• All Elite plan customers (Elite regular; Elite super plans; Emirati plans; The Diamond plan),
• Monthly plan Data Sim,
• Monthly plan value,
• all Pay As You Go® Pay As You Go®(PAYG) plans (Alo, PAYGO (Pay As You Go® Pay As You Go®2; Pay As You Go® Pay As You Go® Million; Pay As You Go® Pay As You Go® Pioneer, Pay as you Data) and
• Visitor Mobile Line.
1.5. Each Data Bundle has a fixed monthly charge depending on the bandwidth included within the Data Bundle. Each monthly Data Bundle is valid for 1 calendar month from the date of activation.
1.6. For detailed information related to the Data Bundles and the applicable fees, please refer to du’s Frequently Asked Questions on the website, www.du.ae.

2. How to activate or de-activate a Data Bundle
2.1. To activate the Data Bundle, you must SMS (free of charge) the key word ‘Data Help’ to the short code 1355. You must then follow the steps in the response SMS to activate/ deactivate.

3. Benefits of Data Bundle(s)
3.1. Avoid bill shock: Customers will not be able to browse the internet when the available bandwidth with the Data Bundle has been reached. You must subscribe to another Data Bundle to resume browsing.
3.2. Easy tracking: Customers can track usage of their Data Bundle by
(i) SMS the keyword ‘reward’ to the Short Code 1233, or
(ii) by accessing the mobile data portal at http://mydata.du.ae or
(iii) by visiting du’s website, accessible at the URL: www.du.ae/selfcare.
3.3. Easy Subscription: Upon depletion of a Data Bundle, you will be automatically directed (or sent a SMS with the link) to URL: http://mydata.du.ae to allow you to activate a new Data Bundle.
3.4. Daily Data Bundles: A daily Data Bundle is only available for 24 hours from activation and cannot be carried forward. You may buy a daily Data Bundle up to 5 times a day.

4. Handset Plans with existing data packages
4.1. iPhone, Samsung and Nokia: If you have an existing data package with your iPhone, Samsung or Nokia plan, you may subscribe to a Data Bundle on top of your existing data package.
4.2. BlackBerry®: Existing BlackBerry® users will not be able to expand their BlackBerry® service allowance with any of the Data Bundles and their BlackBerry® service will be still consumed from the BlackBerry® service they have subscribed to.

5. Migration from Elite or existing Data Bundles
5.1. Elite Plan: If you request an upgrade or downgrade to your Elite plan, it will be activated during that billing cycle however, any subsequent upgrade or downgrade requests will not be activated until the following billing cycle. Only one request per billing cycle can be activated. Pro-rated monthly charges will apply for Data Bundles if you upgrade or downgrade your Elite Plan but full data units given.
5.2. Other data packages: Customers subscribed to a data package will be able to upgrade to one of the Data Bundles immediately after their first request. Any subsequent requests for upgrade and or downgrade will be activated during the following billing cycle only.
5.3. Except for iPhone, Samsung and Nokia plans as set out in section 3.1 above, if you upgrade or downgrade your existing data package to one of the Data Bundles, you may lose any remaining unused data though full benefits of the new Data Bundle will commence upon its activation.

6. Usage status
6.1. Post paid customers can check their data usage through web self care (available at the URL: www.du.ae/selfcare) or by SMS to 1233. du will also notify you via SMS when your Data Bundle reaches (70%, 85% and 100%) of the total available Data Bundle.
6.2. Prepaid customers can check their data usage through web self care (available at the selfcare.du.ae.

1. How will this change affect my Unlimited National/International BlackBerry® Packages?
Unlimited National BlackBerry® service will cease to exist. If you’d like to continue with Unlimited National BlackBerry® service, you can do so, but once you’ve migrated to a new BlackBerry bundle, you’ll be unable to return to your original package.

Note: Unlimited International BlackBerry® service will still be available to all customers. For Diamond Plan customers, the core benefits of your plan remain the same.

2. Am I eligible to have a BlackBerry® Packages?
If you subscribe to any of the below monthly plans, yes:
Elite plans: Regular, Super, Emirati Plans. Pay As You Go® plans: Allo, Pay As You Go®.

Note: Data SIM customers are ineligible to have a BlackBerry Packages.

3. Are BlackBerry® Packages available for national and international data use?
Unfortunately, BlackBerry® Packages are only available for national usage. For international roaming, you’ll be charged on a Pay Per Use (PPU) basis. If you’d like to have a roaming package, simply subscribe to our Unlimited International BlackBerry® service for only AED 260 per month giving you a 1 GB monthly data allowance.

4. How can I subscribe/unsubscribe to a BlackBerry® Packages?

*BlackBerry® Packages are recurring packages and are valid for 30 days. Social BlackBerry® is only available on a daily basis with a validity period of 24 hours.

5. I have the AED 55 BlackBerry® promotion; will I continue enjoying these benefits?
Yes, once your 6-months offer finishes, your plan will automatically shift to Unlimited National BlackBerry® at AED 130 per month. If during this time you subscribe to any of our new BlackBerry® Packages, you’ll be ineligible to return to Unlimited National BlackBerry® service and you will not be eligible to enjoy the remaining months of your promotion.

6. From which balance will my BlackBerry® Packages subscription be charged?
BlackBerry® Packages subscription charges are deducted from your ‘More Time’ balance. If you’ve forgotten to and missed your renewal date, don’t worry, please make sure you recharge within a maximum of three days from your renewal date. Once your BlackBerry® Package has been activated, you’ll receive two messages via SMS.

7. Why has the Unlimited National BlackBerry® service been terminated?
The standard internet usage on BlackBerry® is very low. This means that usually, you use less data on a BlackBerry device, than with other Smartphones. We advise our customers to subscribe to a 1 GB BlackBerry Bundle, as this bundle provides enough data for browsing.

To keep track of your data consumption, we’ve recently launched our Data Portal; allowing you to manage how much data you use. Once you’ve fully consumed your data bundle, you’ll be redirected to our Data Portal, where you’ll be able to purchase various types of data bundles.

8. I have BlackBerry® Social, but I’d like to access the Internet, which package should I chose?
If you’d like to enjoy the full BlackBerry® experience, you can subscribe to the 100 MB BlackBerry® package for only AED 50 per month. As part of your package, you can browse online, send emails, BBM, watch videos, download apps and use your social networks!

Specific Terms and Conditions for BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry®
Version 1, November 2012

These du BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® terms and conditions apply in addition to General Terms and Conditions for Consumer and BlackBerry® Service Terms and Conditions previously agreed by the Customer.  In the event of any inconsistency between these terms, the du BlackBerry® Service terms and conditions and the General Terms and Conditions for Consumer, these terms shall prevail.

BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® Offers

    1. BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® are new BlackBerry® services available for Consumers on post-paid and pre-paid plans.
    2. BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® are permanent plans. All prepaid Customers are advised to keep sufficient funds either on “More Time” or “More Credit” balances before activating BlackBerry® Social and to keep sufficient funds on “More Time” before activating National BlackBerry®.
    3. BlackBerry® Social consists of two key features, ‘Social networking’ and ‘Instant Messaging’. National BlackBerry® provide the full BlackBerry® solution (e-mail; browsing; instant messaging; application access on My World and social networking)
    4. Once subscribed, BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® subscription will be on a recurring basis.

      Charges
    1. BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® offers up to 100MB, 1GB, 4GB or 25GB data at the rates shown on the du website.
    2. Allocated data for BlackBerry® Social for postpaid customers is 1GB and allocated data for National BlackBerry® packages for post-paid Customers is 100 MB, 1GB, 4GB and 25GB per month depending on the chosen pack. Customers will be notified on his total allowance allocated via SMS upon reaching 70%, 85% and 100% of allocated data size.
    3. Allocated data for pre-paid BlackBerry® social customers is 100 MB per day. For National BlackBerry® packages allocated data is 100 MB, 1GB, 4GB and 25GB per month depending on the chosen pack. Customers will be notified via SMS when the data size reaches 50MB, 20MB, 5MB, and 0KB for the all BlackBerry® packages. Customers will be asked to subscribe to a new BlackBerry® Social package if they run out of data.

      Migration from other du BlackBerry® offers/ services
      1. Customers who migrate from existing BlackBerry® service to BlackBerry® Social or to National BlackBerry® will be disconnected from existing BlackBerry® service and shall get the new service activated. Upon activation of the new BlackBerry® service, benefits/offers related to any previous BlackBerry® service will be replaced with the new BlackBerry® service offers as available. For example, all existing BlackBerry® Customers having the benefit of 6 months free BlackBerry® offer may lose any remaining free usage when moving to BlackBerry® Social.
      2. Existing Customers on any other BlackBerry® services will continue to enjoy their packages if they choose not to migrate.
      3. If an existing Customer chooses to migrate to BlackBerry® Social or National BlackBerry®, he/she will not be able to migrate back.

Customers who have Smartphone Privilege Plan or Number Privilege Plan with du, BlackBerry® Social and National BlackBerry® will be part of their monthly minimum commitment.
