If you don’t have enough credit in your “more time” or “more credit” balance, the daily fees will not be deducted and the service will not be activated until you recharge your “more time” or “more credit” balance.

These Blackberry Social service from du terms and conditions apply in addition to General Terms and Conditions for consumer and Enterprise and Blackberry Service Terms and Conditions previously agreed by the Customer. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms, the du Blackberry Service terms and conditions and the General Terms and Conditions for Consumer & Enterprise, these terms shall prevail.

1. BlackBerry Social Offer
1.1. Social BlackBerry service is a new BlackBerry service available for consumers and Enterprise on post-paid and pre-paid plans.
1.2. Social BlackBerry is a permanent plan and all prepaid Customers are advised to keep sufficient funds either on “More Time” or “More Credit” balances before activating Social BlackBerry.
1.3. Social BlackBerry consists of two key features, ‘Social networking’ and ‘Instant Messaging’.
1.4. Once subscribed, Social BlackBerry subscription will be on a recurring basis.

2. Charges
2.1 Social BlackBerry service offers up to 1GB data at the following rates:
2.1.1 AED 30 per month for post-paid customers; and
2.1.2 AED 1.5 per day for pre-paid customers.

2.2 Allocated data for Blackberry Social package for post-paid Customers is 1,024 Megabytes (1GB) per month. Customers will be charged for exceeding the data as per du standard pay per use rates, as available the website, www.du.ae. Customers will be notified via SMS upon reaching 90% and 100% of allocated data size.
2.3 Allocated data for pre-paid Customers is 100 Megabytes per day. Customers will be notified via SMS when the data size is reduced to 5 MB and 0 MB. Customers will be asked to subscribe to a new Blackberry Social package 24 hours in advance to complete consumption of data.
2.4 Customers who subscribe or unsubscribe during a billing cycle will be charged only for the period of service activation during that bill cycle and will only receive part of the data bundle subject to pro-rated charges.

3. Migration from other du BlackBerry offers/ services
3.1 Customers need to deactivate any existing BlackBerry bundle to subscribe to the Social Blackberry service
3.2 Customers can migrate from existing BlackBerry service to Social BlackBerry service and vice versa and will be disconnected from existing Blackberry service and get the new service activated. Upon activation of new BlackBerry service, benefits/offers related to any previous BlackBerry service will be replaced with the new BlackBerry service offers if as available. For example, all existing BlackBerry Customers having the benefit of 6 months free BlackBerry offer may lose any remaining free usage while moving to Social BlackBerry service.
3.3 There will be foreclosure payment in respect to Enterprise BlackBerry Customers who migrate to Social BlackBerry service.
3.4 Postpaid Business Customers having an existing BlackBerry service contract will need to disconnect the existing contract and pay the early termination charges, if applicable. Migration to BlackBerry Social is permitted upon settlement of existing Blackberry service contract with du.
3.5 All business Blackberry postpaid or prepaid Customers not having any existing contract will be able to migrate to BlackBerry Social via SMS or du selfcare.

4. Part of du Monthly Minimum Commitment Plans

4.1 Customers who have Smartphone Privilege Plan or Number Privilege Plan with du, will get Social BlackBerry service as part of their monthly minimum commitment.
4.2 Premier plan Customers who subscribe to BlackBerry Social, the monthly charges applicable to BlackBerry Social will not be part of their minimum monthly commitment. Customers having the number privilege plan, BlackBerry Social will be part of their minimum monthly commitment.
