1. What is 4G LTE?
4G LTE is the latest Real Mobile Broadband© network allowing you to enjoy Internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps on your Internet Key or on 4G LTE capable data devices (ie: phones, tablets etc.) 4G LTE stands for ‘Long Term Evolution’ and is considered the fastest Mobile Broadband carrier technology in the world.

2. How fast is 4G LTE?
4G LTE provides speeds of up to 100 Mbps. However, this speed may vary depending on the number of users on a specific coverage area and also depending on your location and coverage availability. To check the coverage map of the 4G LTE network, click here.

3. What do I need in order to enjoy 4G LTE?
To begin, you’ll need a 4G LTE compatible data device (Internet Key, tablet etc.). You’ll then be required to purchase a Monthly Data Line or Business Data SIM for only AED 55. With this, you’ll then subscribe to our 25 GB Data Bundle. Customers who already have a Monthly Data Plan SIM or Business Data SIM can simply subscribe to our 25 GB Data Bundle and begin enjoying this service immediately.

To do so, please verify that you have a 4G LTE enabled device which supports our 4G LTE Network. These devices need to be 1800 MHz spectrum enabled.

Note: 4G LTE service is currently unavailable to voice rate plans (voice SIM) and Pay As You Go® Data Line customers.

4. Will I still be able to use Data/Mobile Broadband when there’s no 4G LTE coverage?
Yes, you’ll still be able to access Data or Mobile Broadband with the next best available Data Network such as our DC-HSPA+ network (supporting up to 42 Mbps).

5. How can I enjoy this service on my 4G LTE enabled Internet Key?
Simply purchase our 25 GB Data Bundle and start enjoying immediately. Please verify that your device is unlocked and that it supports the 1800 spectrum MHz network. Important: We don’t validate compatibility with our LTE network; this should only be taken up with device manufacturer’s support department.

7. How much does the LTE 100 Mbps Internet Key cost and are there any discounts?
The price for the 4G LTE Internet Key is AED 799 and it is only sold with a Monthly Data Plan Line SIM (Personal) and Business Data SIM (Business). Our 4G LTE Internet Keys are not sold separately. You can exchange your old Internet Key for a 50% discount off on your new Internet Key. However, subscription to our 25 GB Data Bundle is mandatory.

8. What is the monthly fee for the 25 GB Data Bundle?
AED 500 per month (recurring fees). Note: Data Bundle rates are applicable for use only within the UAE. National usage beyond the Data Bundle is charged at 0.25 fils per KB. Standard SMS rates apply. Roaming fees are applicable when using data while roaming.

9. Is it possible to downgrade the 25 GB Data Bundle?
There are no downgrade options linked to the 25 GB Data Bundle. Our 4G LTE service is automatically activated on our 25 GB Internet Key and any downgrade to your Data Bundle, directly deactivates your 4G LTE service.

Your monthly fee will be prorated and your free units will be granted in full.

Terms and Conditions

1. The internet key offer is a bundled package consisting of an internet key and a mobile broadband package (“Offer”). The Offer provides to a du post paid or prepaid customer (“Customer” or “you”) fast mobile broadband carrier technology such as 4G and mobile network speeds up to 42 Mbps and will be available to Customers from May 2012.

2. There are three types of monthly data bundles available to a Customer, each with a different fee. The price of the internet key will depend on its speed. For further information relating to the Offer and the applicable fee.

3. The Offer entitles a Customer to:
(a) whilst stocks last, purchase an internet key and
(b) choice of data bundle worth 25GB at a monthly fee or
(c) standalone bundle of 25GB

4. During the warranty period, du will replace an internet key for manufacturing defects whilst no refunds are available for any manufacturing defects. The standard manufacturer warranty shall apply to the internet key and you must refer to du’s Frequently Asked Questions on the website, www.du.ae for information relating to the use of the internet key and applicable warranty.

5. Mobile broadband rates are applicable for use within the UAE only and a Customer will be charged for exceeding any subscribed data bundle on postpaid data line cap as per du standard pay per use rates, as available on the website, www.du.ae. Customers should familiarize themselves with these rates are you are fully responsible for all charges incurred on the internet key.

6. If you have an existing internet key and subscribe to a du mobile broadband package, you can trade-in your old internet key and upgrade to the new du internet key, with a 50% discount on the price of the new du internet key (applicable to Internet key 7.2Mbps and 21Mbps only). To avail of this offer, you must provide the old internet key to du. du will accept old internet keys that have a SIM slot, no physical damage irrespective of the brand or country of origin.

7. The speed and coverage of your connection using your internet eey with du mobile broadband will depend on, but is not limited to:
7.1. the availability of mobile broadband coverage;
7.2. your distance from the network tower;
7.3. whether you are indoors or outdoors;
7.4. the number of other users connected around you at the same time; and
7.5. the device you are using.

8. Customers are advised to disconnect the internet key from the USB port after browsing the internet in order to ensure that the units of data included in your mobile broadband package are not consumed while the internet key is left in an inactive mode.

9. The General Terms and Conditions and Specific Terms and Conditions for Mobile Services and Data Services apply to all Customers.
