du has announced two new packages for its home service customers in the UAE.
a) Talk and surf: Our double play package for Home customers with landline and High speed Real Broadband.
b) Talk, surf and watch: Our triple play package with landline, high speed real broadband and TV service

Details of the packages are as follows:

With Talk and surf you can subscribe to :

• 8 Mbps Broadband and landline service for just AED 199 / month
• 16 Mbps Broadband and landline service for just AED 259 / month
• 24 Mbps Broadband and landline service for just AED 349 / month

With Talk, surf and watch you can subscribe to the same speeds:

• 8 Mbps Broadband and landline service for : AED 279 / month
• 16 Mbps Broadband and landline service for : AED 339 / month
• 24 Mbps Broadband and landline service for : AED 429 / month

Both Talk and surf and Talk, surf and watch packages are subject to a twelve month contract.

Both Talk and surf and Talk, surf and watch packages will be available from August 15, 2010. If you are a du home service customer, you can go to our web-site www.du.ae from July 20, 2010 to book for new package.

If you are not a du home service customer, you can subscribe to the package at any of our du shops starting August 15, 2010.

With our Talk and surf package you get Real Broadband starting with speeds of 8 Mbps and attractive call rates on your landline of just 1 fils per second to over 190 destinations.

For all du landline calls, you only pay for the seconds you talk.

With and Talk, surf and watch you get the same Real Broadband and landline benefits as in Talk and surf, in addition you can enjoy our du TV+ offering which includes:

• More than 150 channels
• Ability to pause, rewind and record live TV at the press of a button
• Video on Demand which allows you to watch whatever you want whenever at a click of a button
• High Definition (HD) TV and 3D TV

You can subscribe to our Talk and surf or Talk, surf and watch package and enjoy the same high broadband speed of 24Mbps at a lower price.

Yes, as an existing customer of du home services, you can be one of the first to join the new era of Real Broadband. All you need to do is log-on to our web-site www.du.ae from July 20, 2010 to book the package of your choice.  

You will be one of the first customers to be migrated to the chosen package, from August 15, 2010.

There will be no interruption to your services. Your currently subscribed services will be moved to your new package. At the same time, your additional subscriptions like additional landline, additional TV decoders and Pay TV package subscriptions will remain unchanged.

If currently you don’t have du TV and you select the new Talk, Surf and watch package, then you will be required to pay AED 150 as TV decoder deposit.

If currently you have du TV (without PVR) and you select the Talk, Surf and Watch package, then your current TV decoder will be replaced with new du TV + decoder with PVR features. Depending on customer demand, this may occur a few days or weeks after the start of your new Talk, Surf and Watch package.

If you already have multiple TV decoders, then one of the TV decoders with PVR (du TV +) will be included in your selected Talk Surf and Watch package.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade the broadband speed on your Talk and surf or Talk, surf and watch package. This can be done by calling Customer Care or by visiting any of our du shops.

All upgrades are free of charge, a nominal charge of AED100 will apply for any downgrade.

Yes, you can downgrade your Talk, surf and watch package to a Talk and surf package. On doing so, your TV subscription will be un-subscribed.

As Talk, surf and watch is a 12 months contract package, you will be charged AED 100 as early exit fee.

You will be charged AED 100 as early exit fee if you downgrade/cease before completion of the 12 month fixed term contract.

Both Talk and surf and talk, surf and watch offer attractive call rates of 1fils per second to over 190 international destinations.

Details are as follows:

Sat – Thu from 9 am to 9 pm, calls after the 5th minute will be charged at 1.5 fils per second.
Calls to national landline and national mobile will be charged at 0.3 fils per second and 0.6 fils per second respectively.

You will get one landline with either of the subscribed packages. You can request for additional landlines if you wish. Regular monthly charge of AED15/month will be applicable for each additional landline.

You will get one du TV+decoder, offering latest revolutionary features such as pause, rewind and record live TV. You can request for as many additional TV connections as you want. Regular additional subscription charges will be applicable for each TV connection subscribed.

Yes, you will get our du TV+ with pause, rewind and record live TV features with Talk, surf and watch package

No, you first need to call 8003676 request to swap your old set-top-box to a du TV+ decoder and then you can change your subscription to Talk, surf and watch.

You will continue to get one consolidated bill for this package with one monthly subscription fee.
