What telephone handsets can I use?

We advise customers to buy "FSK Europe compatible" handsets, although all analogue telephone handsets should work on our network.

How can I contact Directory Enquiries?

Simply dial 199 from any du line, either landline or mobile.

How can I change my landline number?

Simply call customer care on 04 3905555 or visit the sales office. There will be a fee of AED 100 payable.

Can I have additional landlines and / or extensions?

Yes, you may subscribe to as many landlines or extensions as you have cabled sockets. Each additional landline will come as a new payable subscription with a new phone number and handset. Additional extensions will be added to an existing landline subscription and you will not get an additional handset. Each additional phone line allows an additional concurrent conversation. Additional extensions do not allow additional concurrent conversations but allow access from a different socket to the existing landline. Call customer care on 04 3905555 or visit the sales office to get additional landlines or extensions, or to move your existing ones.

When people call me the wrong person answers. What is happening?

The call has probably been forwarded via our call forwarding feature on the landline. You can deactivate this service by picking up the receiver and pressing #21. If the issue is not resolved, please call customer care on 04 3905555.

What supplementary landline services do you provide?

We offer six services by default which can be activated via the handset keypad including Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Caller Line ID, Return Last Missed Call, Ring Back When Free and 3 Party Call Conferencing. We also offer Incoming or Outgoing Call Barring for a one off fee of AED 50 and a monthly fee of AED 10.

How can I send and receive faxes?

Fax machines can be found in many telephone outlets or other retail shops throughout the UAE. Plug the fax machine into the landline socket and use as per the manufacturer's instructions.
