This competition, organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai was supported by du as the main sponsor.

This initiative by Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment (MBRE) which is part of the Dubai Development of Economic Development (DED), has succeeded in encouraging entrepreneurial spirit within youngsters from high schools and universities across the UAE.

The large turnout reflects YEC‘s accomplishment in preparing young business leaders. There were 600 participants this year compared to 84 in 2005, the year of its inception.
