App encourages children to connect with Islamic history and instills values
du is giving customers the opportunity to download free episodes of the much anticipated Sira application during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This is the first interactive app, developed specifically for children about the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and is available, in both Arabic and English, for download at the du app store.
Jawad Shaikh, Executive Vice-President, Digital Business, du, said: “Today, children are logging on to the digital platform for both learning and entertainment purposes. Hence, our partnership with AlphaApps was a natural choice for us, as it enables us to positively impact the future generation and instill Islamic values in children. A genuine understanding of the life of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, will bring families closer together and help children appreciate their heritage and Islamic values. This is how the Sira app will add life to life.”
The Sira application, developed by AlphaApps FZ LLC, an UAE-based company, contains the high quality content to which children have become accustomed in their apps. It is both interactive and enlightening in its accurate portrayal of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in 11 episodes, 4 free during the month of Ramadan for du customers, with a state-of-the-art interface, specially composed sound effects and individually voiced characters.
Saed Alghorani, Co-Founder, AlphaApps, said: “The primary purpose of the app is to instill true Islamic values, such as honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and others that form the basis of a good character, in young children today.”
